Calibration Guide for the Fukuda FRE 102 Range Plus some Powerline Models

The following is a calibration guide on how to calibrate the Fukuda FRE 102 AR FRE 102AG & FRE-102B lasers.  Plus branded laser levels featuring the same core components.  For example the Powerline A3PRO, A3 Mk11 plus General TRL-30RS & TRL-30GS.  This method should work on pretty much any laser that comes with the remote shown below.

I haven’t personally tried this method on all the models I have tagged, but, it should work with all of them.  The method is quite similar to the digital grade laser FUKUDA FRE 207 & FRE 208 and branded versions.  I have a link to this method HERE

Calibration Fukuda FRE 102 Method

First of all, you will need the remote control to perform this calibration.

Step 1 is to power the laser up normally using the power button on the laser level.

Step 2 is entering into calibration mode.  This is achieved by pressing and holding the “G” button on the remote control.  Once in calibration mode, you should see the LCD display show numerical value for the X-axis and Y-axis.

Step 3 is adjusting these values to correctly calibrate the laser.  The alignment of the axis is marked on the top casing od the laser.  The remote will first be high lighting the “X” axis.  To adjust up or down the lasers height on this axis press the “+” or “-” buttons on the remote.  You will see the value change as the height changes on the laser on this axis.  If you have gone the wrong way then press the other direction button.

Step 4 to change high lighted axis on the remote, short press the “G” button this should no high light the “Y” axis and you can repeat the operation from Step 3 for this axis.

Step 5 once both axes are correct you need to save these new values for calibration.  This is achieved by pressing and holding the “G” button on the remote.  The remote display should have returned to normal.

Finally, power down and up the laser once more and check that the calibration is good for both axes.

As always the Laser Level Review does not take any responsibility for your actions whilst using our guide.  If you are at all unsure do not attempt to re-calibrate your laser and send it to a laser level service centre.

Had experience of these models and have anything to add please comment below.
