The Fukuda FRE202 is another model that has been sold badged as a number of different brands or simply unbranded. Its an electronic self levelling laser and was one of the smallest and cheapest of it type when is was released. It was widely sold on eBay and discount web sites and so often had very little service support.
Calibration procedure is similar to other Fukuda models, the biggest difference with the Fukuda FRE202 is that everything is done on the keypad itself, many other Fukuda manufactured models require a remote control to calibrate.
To enter calibration mode press the centre button and hold, then press the Power button and then let go of the power button whilst still holding the central button. After a few seconds the power LED light will flash and the laser is in calibration mode. On the top housing is indicated the “X” and “Y” axis alignment and you select the axis to be calibrated by pressing the centre button, each press toggles through the X and Y axis the one selected being indicated by the LED lights, X and Y.
To alter the calibration of the selected axis use the up and down arrow buttons to position the height of the laser to the required position. To save this new height as level hold both the Up and Down buttons together until the power LED light stops flashing. The calibration has now been saved. I prefer to do each axis separately and save after adjusting each one.
As always the Laser Level Review does not take any responsibility for your actions whilst using our guide, if you are at all unsure do not attempt to re-calibrate your laser and send it to a laser level service centre.
